Mr. Puddle: It’s also interesting to notice that seit may be used along with a noun as a preposition or a conjunction, the same way as seitdem is used as a coordinate conjunction
Mr. Puddle: The differences are visible when you learn grammar and notice that the subordinate and coordinate conjunctions require different structures within the clauses
Mr. Meowrr: Yes, the subordinate affect the verb or the auxiliary particle/ modal verbs that are pushed to the end while the coordinate maintain the structure
Mr. Meowrr: I didn’t know that there are two parts conjunctions such as those from English… But one should always remember that they aren’t used the same way...

✔️ Follow the sentences and see how the structures work. You may wanna play with Mrs. Purrplexed too while trying to translate some of them!
✔️ Don’t forget that there are conjunctions splitted in two parts
✔️ These conjunctions are coordinate because they don't affect the position of the verb within the clause
✔️ “Sondern” must be preceded by a negation
✔️ Seit and seitdem are both coordinate conjunctions
✔️ Only “seit” might be used with a noun
✔️ Jedoch has the same meaning as “doch” but adds more emphasis
