➔  Wo - compounds are similar to da - compounds with the only difference that wo - compounds are used in questions 

 

➔  In German “wo” is translated “where” but within wo - compound the translation is “what

 

➔  The compounds have a preposition + the particle wo

Wovor hast du Angst?“ as you noticed that when you ask questions you always use wo - compounds. “Blut! Ich habe Angst davor!” the second person is afraid of seeing blood, “Blood! I'm afraid of it!” then he says “davor” because it’s the expression “Angst vor etw. haben” and the noun “Blut” isn’t mentioned again.
