Mr. Puddle: Alright… Here’s a conversation between two people: “Ich hasse Spinnen, ich habe Angst vor ihnen. Wovor hast du Angst?“ as you noticed that when you ask questions you always use wo - compounds. “Blut! Ich habe Angst davor!” the second person is afraid of seeing blood, “Blood! I'm afraid of it!” then he says “davor” because it’s the expression “Angst vor etw. haben” and the noun “Blut” isn’t mentioned again.
Mr. Meowrr: Meow, that's easy! Danke!

✔️ Follow the sentences and see how the structures work. You may wanna play with Mrs. Purrplexed too while trying to translate some of them!
✔️ Wo - compounds are used in questions whereas da - compounds in sentences
✔️ Wo - compounds refer to things/objects/ ideas and are used in combinations with prepositions
✔️ Separable verbs are often used with wo-compounds when asking questions
✔️ People have a tendency to use “was” and not “wo” when asking questions with “what” but never forget to ask yourself whether it’s alright or not to use “was” or “wo” (most of the cases there’s a preposition which will require a wo compound)
